The mission of Downtown Danville, Inc. is to promote a vibrant business, residential and entertainment district while serving as a catalyst for economic, social and cultural enrichment. Downtown Danville, Inc. started in 1983 and has been a proud member of Illinois Main Street since its beginning in 1993.

Downtown provides a welcoming, attractive, safe and friendly environment with well-maintained and landscaped public amenities reflecting community pride. Our history is energetically celebrated by revitalizing and building upon our historic architecture, our relationship with the river and the natural environment. A unified and focused partnership of government, business, and residents ensures the attainment and maintenance of this Vision for our downtown for future generations.
